Hello Tumblr!

This is so wonderful.

I found my Sims 3 game!

But I’m missing the registration code…

  • Manager 1: You have to keep it straight so it lines up with the rest of them.
  • Gay Manager: I'm not very good at anything straight. ;)
  • Manager 1: *blank look*

I had to explain this to someone the other day.

Before my parents were divorced I lived in an old, one story house with the front door in the back yard and a small porch. Next to the porch was a giant oak tree, and about thirty or forty feet behind the tree was my rusting swing-set.

One summer day, while on the swing, I looked up and saw a little girl in a white sundress standing on the porch. She looked straight into my eyes, never saying a word. I was frozen on the spot, chilled to the bone. She walked to the tree and placed her feet on the trunk, so she was parallel to the ground. She walked up the tree to the underside of a branch. Standing upside down, with her dress flowing around her knees like she had her own gravity, she stared at me again. Then she fell.

I flinched and closed my eyes, clinging to the swing. When I opened my eyes again, I was lying on the ground in front of the oak tree with my feet against the trunk with no recollection as to how I had gotten there nor how long I had been there.

The only reason I know this wasn’t a dream is because of my mom. When I opened my eyes, she stuck her head out of the door and asked me if I was ok. She had been watching me. One moment she saw me having a blast on the swings. She looked away to check the time, and when she looked up again, and I was on the ground.

The only other time I saw that little girl was in my house early one Saturday morning while both my parents were still asleep. I was watching my usual Saturday morning cartoons. Some white flash in the corner of my eye caught my attention. The hallway door was open, and when I looked towards it I saw the little girl wearing the same dress with a strange bright light surrounding her. She was staring straight at me with a strange expression on her face.

As soon as I saw her, she disappeared into the hallway. The light stayed a bit longer before it faded away. I never saw her again, but the rest of that day, I would randomly hear her laughter coming from the hallway.

I don’t know who she is, but she creeps me out to this day.
